Sarky Woman

A twenty-something  31 year old (eek! I am getting old!) woman trying to figure out life. Trying to figure out where I want to go, who I want to be. I still don’t know what I want to do when I grow up. This blog is my way of introspecting, dissecting, analyzing myself.

I like reading books, listening to music, writing poems, short stories, photography, movies, drawing, and now blogging 😉

I cherish my Freedom. It is the one thing I will never give up for ANYONE.

Married, about to get divorced. Something I never thought would happen to me. (Does anyone, ever?)
Divorced! (Yay! I am free!)

I live my life by this quote

” Never be bullied into Silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no ones definition of your life.

Define yourself”                                                                                                                                                                                              – Harvey Fierstein

This quote changed my life. It has made me who I am today. In fact it was the first time that I understood why people keep trying to read motivational quotes.

The quote is really quite powerful. Are guys allowed to be fans of this blog? Do let me know. Some of us really dig freedom-loving women.

Anyone can be a fan of this blog 🙂 You don’t need my permission for that

If I had written about myself a year ago, it would have been pretty much similar to yours except that I am a bachelor. I am terrible at drawing too

      Why one year ago?

Now I vacillate between “Freedom is not meant for people living in the society. The society couples it with the individual and empties him of all his thoughts and opinions so that it can pour its contents into his mind. I no longer feel the once indomitable spirit that was once a part of me. I can only feel a void now”(90% of the time) and “No, I will get out of this rut.I will liberate myself from these chains.”(10% of the time, vodka really does wonders)

Hmm… Hope you liberate yourself from these chains permanently some day, without the vodka (although I admit vodka does do wonders! 😉 )

Hey, you’re welcome! 🙂 (although full credit to Harvey Fierstein for coming up with the awesome quote). All the best to you with whatever you are going through….
